James Hill began his career in Los Angeles as an actor landing various small roles, then later transitioning to various behind the camera production jobs in Film and Television, becoming a member of AFTRA and ITASE [now inactive] and became SAG eligible
For over six years James Hill was Senior Technician of the Media Services Dept. for the American Film Institute AFI in Los Angeles
During this wonderful experience at the American Film Institute AFI, James enriched his prior love affair with motion pictures and television into a deeper understanding of the “Art of Story Telling” and gained even more knowledge of the technical and logistical aspects of the entire creative filmmaking process
Since 2004 James has been hired to produce a wide variety of projects from Script to Screen and has also been hired separately as a Cameraman, Editor/Motion Graphics, AV Services, Video Conferencing and Live Event Streaming
Recently he has worked on Independent Movies screened at Film Festivals and Television Pilots up for network consideration
“Shore Thing” is a :30min short that James Hill Co-Directed, Shot and Edited which premiered at the Coney Island Film Festival and won Best Short in the suspense category at the New York International Film Festival 2009
